Coiled Wines – for those following their own winding path!

Coiled Wines was established in 2008 by winemaker and owner, Leslie Preston. Preston draws her winemaking experience from Napa Valley, CA. She has a M.S. in Enology from U.C. Davis, and professional experience at Clos du Bois, Saintsbury, and Stags' Leap Winery. However, when the time came to make wine under her own label, Preston and her family returned to her Idaho roots to source the grapes. The name of the winery itself was inspired from the stunning Snake River Valley (Idaho’s first grape-growing AVA), from where the winery’s grapes are sourced. As the name would suggest, the valley winds its way through southwestern Idaho much like snake coils. Remaining a small-production wine label, the winery has grown and developed since its beginnings and currently showcases two labels under the Coiled name: Coiled and Translations. Varietals such as Riesling (crafted in both a dry style and a Champagne brut method), Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Petite Sirah whereas the Translations label is simply that…bringing the best varietals from different growing regions and making them Preston’s own.
